Product: Contexture (iOS, iPadOS, macOS)
These Terms explain the rules for using Contexture. They are written in plain English. They are not legal advice.
1. Using Contexture
You may use Contexture for personal or professional purposes, provided you: comply with applicable laws, do not misuse the app, and respect other people's rights. Contexture is a tool that helps you store and organise context and decisions for use with AI systems.
2. Your Content
Ownership
You own the content you create in Contexture (projects, context items, decision notes, etc.).
2. Your Content
Responsibility
You are responsible for what you store in the app, what you export or share, and how you use the generated context with third-party AI services. Avoid storing or sharing sensitive information unless you understand the risks.
3. AI Services & Third Parties
Contexture does not provide an AI model or chatbot. If you choose to copy/share Contexture output into third-party AI tools (e.g., an LLM), those tools are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Contexture is not responsible for third-party services.
4. Subscriptions (Contexture Pro)
Billing
If you subscribe to Contexture Pro, billing is handled by Apple through your App Store account; pricing and renewal terms are shown before purchase; you can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
4. Subscriptions (Contexture Pro)
Feature Access
Pro features may include unlimited projects, smart injection tools, conflict detection, structured import, and iCloud sync (if offered). If your subscription ends, you keep access to your data. Some features may become unavailable, but you can still view and export your content.
4. Subscriptions (Contexture Pro)
No Data Hostage
Contexture will not lock your existing data behind a paywall.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer or tamper with the app in unlawful ways
- Use the app to store or distribute illegal content
- Attempt to compromise security or access other users' data
6. Availability & Changes
We may update Contexture to improve reliability and features. We may also discontinue features that are not sustainable, but we will try to do so in a reasonable way.
7. Disclaimers
Contexture is provided "as is". While we aim for reliability: we cannot guarantee the app will be error-free; we cannot guarantee third-party AI outputs will be correct; you remain responsible for decisions made based on AI tools. Contexture helps you organise context; it does not guarantee outcomes.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages; we are not liable for losses arising from third-party AI tools you use; total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Contexture in the last 12 months (or £0 if you did not pay). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. Your rights may vary.
9. Termination
You can stop using Contexture at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend access if required by law or if you violate these Terms.
10. Governing Law
If you are in the United Kingdom, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales, unless local consumer law requires otherwise.
