Is Cocoacorn really one person?
Yes. Geoff is a software engineer with thirty years’ experience who started Cocoacorn after his daughter took twelve years to be diagnosed with fibromyalgia, hypermobility, IBS, and POTS. Every app is designed, built, supported, and updated by him. Read more on the About page.
Why so many apps instead of one big one?
Each app does one thing well. Tended captures how you feel. Tolerated helps you record food and symptom patterns. Metered plans around it. Supported lets your carer keep an eye on things without making you explain. Bundling everything into a single mega-app would force every user to wade through features they don’t need and make every app slower, heavier, and harder to maintain. Small, focused apps that share data when you want them to is the better trade.
Why iOS and Apple Watch only?
Two reasons, both honest. First, building deeply native apps for one platform — using Apple Health, on-device AI, CloudKit, and tight Watch integration — produces a better experience than trying to be everywhere. Second, Apple’s privacy model makes the no-tracking, no-server stance possible without a lot of extra engineering. An Android version isn’t out of the question forever, but it would mean compromises we’re not ready to make.
Can I use one app without the others?
Yes. Every Cocoacorn app is a complete product on its own. They share data when you have more than one installed and choose to enable sharing — but you never need to install something else to get the value of what you’ve already got.
Will Cocoacorn still be here in five years?
This isn’t a side project. It’s the second act of a thirty-year software career, built for someone Geoff loves who needs these tools to exist. The apps are designed to last — no servers to maintain, no subscriptions that have to keep paying salaries, no investors waiting for an exit. As long as Apple keeps shipping iOS, the apps keep working.

Every app starts free.

Tended, Metered, and Tolerated each include a real free tier — not a trial, not a 7-day countdown. Supported, for carers, is free forever and always will be. +Plus tiers add depth for people who want it. They never gate the basics.

“Pricing above £3 a month puts the app out of reach for the people who most need it.”
