About you

From the app’s English Help & Guide · Reference release 1.0.13

Two small fields in onboarding, both optional, both editable later in More > Preferences:

• Your name — first name is fine. Where it adds value: handover briefings and discharge debrief PDFs (so whoever's reading knows who prepared them), Between Us journal entries (so your person sees a name they recognise rather than 'carer'), and the Limitation Translator's email sign-offs. Leave blank if you'd rather stay anonymous — every surface that uses the name has a sensible fallback when it isn't set.

• Your role — partner, parent, adult child, sibling, friend, foster or kinship carer, paid support worker, just helping out, or prefer not to say. This is for tone only. 'Carer' is the umbrella word the app uses behind the scenes, but the language you see in prompts shifts to match how you'd actually describe yourself.

Neither field is ever sent anywhere — they live only on your device and in your iCloud if you've enabled sync.
