Privacy Policy — Gentled

Introduction

Gentled ("we", "us", "our") is developed by Cocoacorn. This privacy policy explains how the Gentled app handles your data.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any data. Gentled does not have user accounts, does not use analytics services, and does not include third-party SDKs that collect data.

Data Stored on Your Device

Gentled stores movement preferences and boundaries, readiness check-ins, saved personal sessions, movement attempts, immediate and delayed recovery responses, notes, reminder state, history, and app settings locally on your device.

Connected Apps

Connected Apps has separate opt-in controls. Gentled can read compatible Metered context when you enable it, and it can publish a limited movement summary for compatible Cocoacorn apps when you choose to share one.

Gentled does not share private notes, full movement instructions, photos, raw Apple Health readings, or full app databases through Connected Apps.

iCloud Sync and Backups

If enabled, Gentled data syncs to your personal iCloud account using Apple CloudKit private storage. Cocoacorn cannot access this data.

Gentled can create a complete backup when you ask and can optionally keep the seven newest daily backups in its iCloud Drive folder. Backup and exported files remain wherever you save or share them.

Apple Health, Apple Watch, and Widgets

Apple Health context is optional and read-only. Gentled can query permitted sleep, steps, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, menstrual-flow context, and recent workouts on your device, but it does not write workouts or recovery responses to Apple Health.

The Apple Watch app and widgets receive a small current-state summary such as whether a check-in, next movement, recovery check, or active session is available. If you enable live Watch monitoring, heart rate is shown only during the active session as context, not as a safety score.

In-App Purchases

Gentled+ is an optional lifetime purchase. Purchases and restores are handled by Apple’s App Store systems. Cocoacorn does not receive your payment details. Gentled reads App Store purchase status on your device only to decide whether owned features should be available.

Data Deletion

You can delete Gentled data at any time from Settings. If iCloud sync is enabled, data is also removed from your iCloud account.
