Privacy Policy — Quieted

Overview

Quieted is a privacy-first general-wellness and entertainment app from Cocoacorn. It provides six gentle games, an interactive Sanctuary, sensory preferences, and optional lifetime content.

Quieted does not require an account and Cocoacorn does not collect app-usage data from Quieted.

Data Stored on Your Device

Quieted stores the following locally so the app can work and resume:

• Onboarding completion, appearance choice, sensory preferences, and accessibility controls
• Pinned and last-opened game choices, selected authored content, and in-progress game sessions
• Sanctuary progression, room choice, placed-object arrangements, and simplified-scene preference
• A small cached Boolean representing the last verified Quieted+ entitlement state

This information is stored in Quieted’s local app container using Apple’s on-device frameworks. It is not uploaded to a Cocoacorn server. Version 1.0 does not sync it through iCloud or CloudKit.

Data Cocoacorn Does Not Collect

• No Cocoacorn account or login
• No analytics, behavioural telemetry, advertising, or ad attribution
• No third-party tracking SDK, social feed, chat, or public user content
• No HealthKit, location, contacts, camera, microphone, photo-library, or Bluetooth access
• No automatic sharing with carers, family members, clinicians, or other Cocoacorn apps

Cocoacorn cannot read a user’s local game progress or Sanctuary arrangement through Quieted.

In-App Purchases

Quieted offers an optional Quieted+ lifetime non-consumable through Apple’s StoreKit. Apple processes payment and provides Quieted with product information and cryptographically verified transaction and entitlement results. Cocoacorn does not receive payment-card details through the app.

Quieted stores only the local entitlement cache described above. Purchase history, Apple Account information, refunds, Ask to Buy, and Family Sharing are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policies.

Retention and Deletion

Local Quieted data remains on the device until it is changed by the user, reset by an available in-app action, or the app and its data are deleted through the operating system. Removing a placed Sanctuary object or clearing a room does not erase all app data.

Version 1.0 does not claim to provide an in-app “delete everything” button. Deleting local app data does not cancel, refund, or erase an Apple purchase; a verified non-consumable can be restored through Apple.

Children

Quieted is not directed to children and is not submitted to the Made for Kids category. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults.

Security and Changes

Quieted minimizes risk by keeping progress local, requesting no sensitive-system permissions, and using Apple’s verified StoreKit transactions for purchases. No software can guarantee absolute security; users should protect access to their device and Apple Account.

If Quieted’s data handling changes, Cocoacorn will update this policy, the in-app copy, the privacy manifest, and App Store Connect privacy answers before the changed version is released.
