Live needs from your person

From the app’s English Help & Guide · Reference release 1.0.13

When the person you care for uses a Cocoacorn patient app, they can tap a button to tell you one thing in the moment — 'Needs quiet', 'Needs water', 'No questions', or whatever they've set up for themselves.

When they post a need, you'll see:

• A notification on your phone (if you have notifications enabled for them) • A pill on their card in People showing what they need and when they posted it • A banner at the top of their detail page with a 'Got it' button

Tap 'Got it' to dismiss the banner. The need still exists for a few hours, or until they post a new one — 'Got it' just means you've seen it.

You'll also see a 'Quick needs' section on their detail page listing the buttons they've configured, so you know the vocabulary to expect.

If you don't receive needs, check that the person is connected via share link and that they have at least one notification enabled (flare, crash, or low spoons) in More > Notifications. Need notifications follow whatever you've turned on for that person — silenced people stay silent.
