Description of Service
Tolerated is a personal elimination diet protocol manager for tracking elimination phases, running reintroduction challenges, recording personal thresholds, and surfacing patterns across one or more clinical elimination diets. It is available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
Carer Sharing — an optional feature that lets you share your protocol status with one trusted person via Apple's CloudKit private-share mechanism — is also included.
Not Medical Advice
Tolerated is a personal protocol manager, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The food ratings, default thresholds, and reintroduction templates are derived from published clinical guidelines (Monash, SIGHI, RPAH, ACR, IFFGD, OHF, ICA, and others) but they are not personalised to you and are not a substitute for working with a registered dietitian.
We strongly recommend working with a registered dietitian for any elimination diet that lasts more than a few weeks, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, planning changes for a child, or managing a diagnosed condition.
Verdicts, thresholds, and Insights are based on your own self-reported data. They are not clinically validated.
Your Data
You own your data. Tolerated stores your data locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account. We do not access, collect, or process your data.
You can export your data as CSV (Tolerated+ feature), create backups in .toleratedbackup format, or delete all data at any time.
Carer Sharing
If you choose to share with a carer:
- The share is created in your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit private-share mechanism
- We do not see, store, or process anything in the share
- The carer can only see what Tolerated has chosen to surface for them — protocol status, active challenges, and Quick Need broadcasts
- You can revoke the share at any time
- The carer must accept the share via Apple's invite link and use the free Supported app to view it
You are responsible for choosing whom to share with. Tolerated does not verify the identity of share recipients.
In-App Purchases
Representative pricing (GBP)
Tolerated offers optional premium features through in-app purchases processed by Apple. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage subscriptions in your device's Settings.
Tolerated+ is available as a monthly subscription, annual subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions include a 7-day free trial offered by Apple's introductory-offer mechanism. Lifetime is a one-time non-consumable purchase with no trial.
Pricing is set per region and displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase. Current pricing is shown on the purchase screen within the app.
- Monthly subscription: £2.99
- Annual subscription: £29.99
- Lifetime purchase: £59.99
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). Apple sets prices in other currencies for your App Store region; those amounts may change when Apple updates price tiers.
Intellectual Property
Tolerated, its design, its food databases, and its content are owned by Cocoacorn. The clinical guidelines underlying the food ratings remain the intellectual property of their respective bodies (Monash University, SIGHI, RPAH, ACR, and others) and are used as references rather than reproduced verbatim. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app.
Limitation of Liability
Tolerated is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cocoacorn shall not be liable for any damages arising from use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, missed reactions, incorrect verdicts, or decisions made on the basis of the app's output.
We strongly recommend maintaining backups of important records through other means (your own notes, a dietitian's records).
Termination
We may discontinue Tolerated at any time. If we do, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice and the ability to export your data before discontinuation.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
