Morning signal
From the app’s English Help & Guide · Reference release 1.0.19
What it does
Morning Signal compares overnight HRV and resting heart rate with recent personal baseline data, and sleep with your configured sleep target. It produces Strong, Steady, Caution, or Low, which can gently nudge the day’s budget. The compact status appears beside Breakdown on Today.
Setup and baseline
Enable it in More › Preferences › Health when Metered+ and Health Integration are available. HRV and resting heart rate need about a week of prior readings to build a baseline; sleep uses your sleep target. Metered backfills recent Apple Health history when possible.
Privacy and limits
You choose which signals are read and how strongly they affect the budget in More › Budget. Morning Signal is not diagnostic; it describes how the available overnight readings compare with your usual range or sleep target. Raw Apple Health readings stay in HealthKit and are never written back by Metered; derived signal results and baselines are saved in Metered for history, charts, and reports, and sync through your private iCloud only if iCloud sync is on.
