Later recovery check-ins

From the app’s English Help & Guide · Reference release 1.0.3

When Gentled plans one

Your response-timing preference, PEM or crash risk, worsening symptoms, or a greater recovery need can add a later check. Immediate-only mode does not create one unless your response makes it useful.

What it changes

Until recovery is confirmed, Gentled can hold doing that same routine or activity again. Different suitable movement and rest remain available.

How labels work

Immediate reflection, a first recovery check, and a completed 48-hour result remain distinct. A first report of no worsening is still pending rather than confirmed tolerance.

One activity, different observations · Fictional example

For illustration only. Nothing here changes your app records.

Fictional example. Open each observation to see what it tells you. Nothing here changes your records. Your own saved responses determine the record. This example does not recommend an activity or predict a safe amount of movement.

Recovery observation

Immediately: felt the same

This describes the immediate response only. It does not tell you how the person felt later.

Recovery observation

First later check: no worsening

This is one later observation. When another recovery check is required, the result remains pending.

Recovery observation

Later: needed more recovery

The later response adds information the immediate reflection could not provide. Completing the activity did not guarantee an unchanged recovery.

Record a recovery check-in

Return to Today to record how you felt after an existing session, using the recovery choices currently available.

A resting cushion beside an open journal and pencil represents rest and reflection on recorded responses.

Record a recovery check-in: steps

  1. Check the session Find the recovery card on Today and check which recorded session it describes. Without a pending recovery check-in there is nothing to record; you do not need to start movement to use help.
  2. Record what fits now Choose the response that describes your experience. Before the first recovery window, Symptoms changed offers only eligible early responses. Do not choose a response merely to finish the guide.
  3. Check the saved result Selecting a response saves it. Guidance finishes after saving succeeds. A first check may still leave a later recovery check due; this does not establish what caused a change.
