Delayed PEM triggers
From the app’s English Help & Guide · Reference release 1.0.19
Overview
Post-exertional malaise (PEM) is often delayed. Current CDC guidance says symptoms typically worsen 12–48 hours after activity. In Day Review, everyone can mark which earlier day they associate with PEM onset and choose whether PEM started the next day, 2 days later, or 3 days later, so their own timeline is not forced into a narrower window; the recovery budget reduction lands on that onset day. Budget Breakdown keeps that distinction visible by describing the selected earlier day when PEM was delayed. With Metered+, Insights › Crash Patterns can show which over-budget days you linked to delayed PEM onset and your typical recorded delay. That pattern intelligence also feeds the daily crash signal. Premium feature for pattern analysis; manual PEM onset marking is free.
