Share with Carer

From the app’s English Help & Guide · Reference release 1.0.12

Share a limited day-to-day summary with one carer, partner, or family member through iCloud. They see updates after CloudKit syncs; your symptom logs and food history stay private.

What’s shared

Your carer sees which protocols you’re on, today’s phase, what you’re challenging right now, your conditions, and any Quick Need broadcasts you send.

Your symptom logs, full food history, scan history, personal thresholds, verdicts, and Insights are never shared.

Setting up

Open More › Sharing / Self-care › Share with a carer. Give them a name (“Mum”, “Geoff”, “Dr Patel”) so the in-app copy reads naturally, then tap Create invitation. Tolerated generates a private link — send it via Messages, WhatsApp, email, or however you usually message them. They’ll need the free Supported app to accept.

How it works

When relevant protocol or challenge details change, Tolerated updates a small summary in the CloudKit share accepted by your carer.

One carer connection

The current screen manages one carer connection. Stop the existing share before inviting a different person, and check the displayed carer name before sending a Quick Need or Between us entry.

Quick Needs broadcasts

Once sharing is set up, you can send short signals such as “Bathroom near”, “Need to lie down”, or “Bland food today”. Configure them in More › Sharing / Self-care › Quick Needs and broadcast from Today, a supported widget or complication, Apple Watch, or Siri.

Stopping sharing

Choose Stop sharing from the same screen. Tolerated asks CloudKit to revoke the share; the carer’s view updates after their next successful sync. Your private Tolerated records remain on your devices.
