Reminders and alerts
From the app’s English Help & Guide · Reference release 1.0.27
Tended offers several types of notifications, all optional. Find them in More › Journal › Notifications.
Daily reminders
A nudge at your chosen time to log how you’re feeling. Pick which days of the week and customise the message.
Repeat reminders
If you have ADHD or struggle with executive function, turn on repeat reminders under Daily Reminders. Tended will send gentle follow-ups every 30 minutes, 1, 2, or 3 hours until you’ve logged. Set a stop time so they don’t nag you at midnight. They stop automatically once you make an entry.
Gentle reminders
If you haven’t journaled in a few days, Tended sends a gentle nudge — no more than once a week. These are designed to be supportive, not pushy.
Flare pattern warnings
When conditions linked to your past flares are present — like weather changes, poor sleep, or specific triggers — Tended gives you a heads up. Requires 60+ entries and Tended+.
Medication reminders
Set reminders in More › Tracking, then use Manage in the Medications row. Medications can use fixed weekdays, an every N days/weeks schedule, or an after-dose interval reminder. Reminders appear as a Live Activity on your Lock Screen with Taken and Skipped buttons. Responding from the notification or app updates the pending dose state, and fixed weekday doses no longer rely on a separate pre-scheduled follow-up after you have answered.
Weekly summary
A weekly notification summarising your journal — how many entries, good days, and bad days you had. Choose the day and time in More › Journal › Notifications. The summary is refreshed every time you open the app, so the notification always reflects your latest entries.
