Apple Health context
From the app’s English Help & Guide · Reference release 1.0.12
Tolerated can read Apple Health so your reintroduction results take account of what else was happening in your body that day. Short sleep or low HRV can amplify or mimic food reactions; optional cycle context can be added separately if it applies to you.
What Tolerated reads
Sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, and optional menstrual cycle data. Each can be toggled individually in Preferences › Health. Tolerated never writes to Apple Health and never reads outside the moment of a query.
Where it shows up
During an active challenge, a small context strip appears under the Today card showing last night’s sleep, HRV, resting HR, and, if you enabled it, cycle phase. Every symptom log captures a snapshot of the enabled signals. Before starting a new challenge, a warning banner flags days that look confounded, such as short sleep or low HRV, with a “delay a day” option.
Where it doesn’t show up
During elimination. There’s no challenge to confound, so the context strip stays hidden to keep the Today view calm.
Privacy
Tolerated never sends Apple Health data to Cocoacorn, analytics services, or an AI provider. A snapshot is stored inside the symptom log you create, so it follows that log into your private iCloud Sync store and .toleratedbackup files when you enable those features. You can revoke access any time in Apple Health › Sharing › Apps › Tolerated.
