Flow diagrams and Health Map

From the app’s English Help & Guide · Reference release 1.0.27

Tended offers several ways to visually explore how your data connects — from interactive diagrams to cross-domain factor cards.

Flow diagrams

Some sections offer a flow view (toggle the icon in the top right). This shows factors on the left connected to areas they affect on the right with curved flows. Tap any label to see its connections — other labels dim and a summary appears below. Thicker flows mean stronger links. Amber flows mean hurting, sage means helping.

Your Health Map

The Health Map shows factors that affect multiple parts of your health at once. You’ll find it in the tools section at the bottom of the “What affects you” view. It highlights cross-cutting factors — things like Stress that may affect your day rating, energy, sleep, and specific symptoms simultaneously. Tap a factor to explore its connections.

Pinned factors

Pin a factor from any correlation evidence to see how it affects all areas of your health in one card — day rating, energy, sleep, bowel, and individual symptoms. You can pin as many factors as you like. The card also has a flow view showing the same data as connected flows.

Comparing conditions

If you track two or more conditions, Tended shows what affects each condition side by side. Shared factors are marked with a link icon so you can see what overlaps. You can switch to a flow view to see the connections visually.

Indicators

A small sparkle (✨) next to a factor means it recently appeared in your data and wasn’t seen in your earlier entries. An info icon next to a medication means it likely appears because you take it on bad days, not because it causes them.
