What are activities?
Activities let you track what you managed each day — showering, cooking, walking, working, and more. It’s a record of what you accomplished, not a to-do list.
Getting started
Turn on Activities in More › Tracking. When you enable it, Tended creates a starter list based on your conditions. Use Manage in the same Activities row to customise the list.
Logging activities
When creating a journal entry, tap Activities to open the picker. Activities are grouped by category, so long lists stay easier to scan. Check off what you managed, then save. Activities carry forward from yesterday if you have carry forward enabled.
Insights
The What You Managed insight shows your one-month activity summary and trend for free. With Tended+, it also compares individual symptoms on the same day and next day, your next-day rating, and factors linked with doing more or less.
Categories and order
Activities are automatically grouped by category. In Add/Edit Activity, type any category name, or choose an existing category from the checked list. Manual reordering is not shown because category grouping keeps the list stable and predictable.
How activities affect you
With Tended+, select an activity to compare individual symptoms on the same day and the day after. For example, “Fatigue averages 5.2, usually 7.1” means fatigue was lower in those records, not that the activity caused the change. A day rating summary compares how you felt the next day.
Activity costs
Each activity has an energy cost used by Today’s budget: Light (0.5 spoons), Moderate (1.0), Heavy (2.0), or Very Heavy (3.0). Restorative activities like rest or meditation can have a negative cost so they add spoons back. Open Energy Pacing › Activity Costs to review or override any of them — your choice always wins over Tended’s learned default.
Positive framing
Tended only shows what you accomplished, never what you didn’t. There are no unchecked items in summaries and no failure language.
