Bowel movements
From the app’s English Help & Guide · Reference release 1.0.33
Log bowel movements using the Bristol Stool Scale (1–7). You can log multiple movements per day, each with its own type. Enable it in More › Tracking.
Bristol Stool Scale
The scale ranges from Type 1 (hard, separate lumps) to Type 7 (entirely liquid). Types 3–4 are generally considered normal. Tended uses a warm earth-tone colour palette to represent each type.

Logging multiple movements
Each tap on the Bristol type picker adds a movement. If you go three times in a day — say Type 6, Type 6, and Type 4 — all three are recorded individually. Tap the type pill to remove it. Your entry card shows a grouped breakdown.
Home screen widget
The Bowel Log widget lets you log movements directly from your home screen. Tap a Bristol type to log it instantly. The small widget shows today’s count and time since your last movement.
Bowel correlations
With Tended+, the Digestion insight card shows which factors disrupt or stabilise your bowel movements. The correlation engine averages your movement types for each day and measures deviation from the ideal (Types 3–4). Days with multiple loose stools are correctly flagged as more abnormal than a single one.

Record a bowel movement: troubleshooting
If the guide has not finished, check that you changed the relevant field and saved the entry. Simply reopening an existing value does not count. If Save fails, keep the draft open and use Try Again.
