Custom labels

Custom labels let you rename day rating and severity wording so Tended uses language that fits your body, symptoms, and clinical conversations.
Day rating labels
Open More › Journal › Custom Labels to rename the 1–5 day rating labels. Choose short words that reflect how you describe your days.
Severity labels
You can also rename symptom severity labels so a 1–10 scale reads in words that make sense to you. This helps when “mild” or “severe” does not match how you describe a symptom.
Where labels appear
Custom labels appear in journal entry screens, summaries, widgets where space allows, Doctor Mode, and reports. They do not change the underlying numbers, so Insights and CSV export still work consistently.
Tended+
Custom labels are part of Tended+. If Tended+ is not active, Tended uses the standard day rating and severity wording.
