Food & drink
From the app’s English Help & Guide · Reference release 1.0.33
Track what you eat and drink alongside your journal entries. Over time, Tended can identify which foods are linked to better or worse days.
Adding food to an entry
Tap “Add” next to Food & Drink in the entry editor. Select from your list or create a new item.
Managing food items
Go to More › Tracking, turn on Food & Drink if needed, then use Manage in the Food & Drink row to add, rename, categorise, archive, or delete food and drink items. When you add conditions in onboarding, common food items for those conditions are suggested automatically.
Archiving and history
Archive foods you no longer want in the entry picker. Historical entries keep the food names you logged, so your old data, correlations, reports, and CSV exports still make sense. Delete only when you are sure you do not need the item in your active list.
Food correlations
The Insights hub compares which foods appear more often on your flare days and good days. These observations can help you decide what is worth discussing or recording more carefully.
Log food or drink
Add a food or drink to a saved journal entry.
If a field you want is hidden, enable it in More > Tracking. Only turn on what you want to use.
A plate of toast and pear, a glass of water and a blank record card with a pencil.
Log food or drink: steps
- Check the date The guide opens a new journal entry. Check its date and time before adding details. You can also use this guide while editing an existing entry.
- Open Food & Drink Search the food list and select an item, or add a label that describes what you want to record.
- Review the selected items Return to the entry and check the chosen food or drink. Photos are separate attachments; Tended does not identify a food from a photo.
- Save your entry Return to the entry and tap Save. Wait for it to close. The guide completes only after the relevant new or changed detail is saved.

Log food or drink: troubleshooting
If the guide has not finished, check that you changed the relevant field and saved the entry. Simply reopening an existing value does not count. If Save fails, keep the draft open and use Try Again.
