Relief methods
From the app’s English Help & Guide · Reference release 1.0.27
Relief Methods are non-medication things you try to feel better, manage symptoms, or recover: heat, ice, rest, pacing, breathing, hydration, a dark room, sensory changes, support, and similar coping measures.
Getting started
Turn on Relief Methods in More › Tracking. Tended creates a starter list, and condition starter packs can add relevant methods. Use Manage in the same Relief Methods row to add, edit, hide, or categorise your own methods.
Logging relief methods
In a journal entry, tap Relief Methods and select what you tried. Log what you used even if it only helped a little, or if you used it because the day was already hard. That context helps Tended avoid overstating what the method means.
Categories
Relief methods are grouped by category for scanning. In Add/Edit Relief Method, type any category name, or choose an existing category from the checked list. Known starter methods get sensible default categories such as Physical comfort, Rest, Pacing, Nervous system, Food & drink, Sensory, Support, or Movement.
What helped
The What Helped insight compares relief methods with easier days, harder days, symptom changes, recovery windows, and what you managed to do. Harder-day context usually means you reached for a method when symptoms were already worse; it is not proof that the method caused the worse day.
Reports and data
Relief methods appear in Tracking Breakdown, What affects you, symptom correlations, warning signs, recovery analysis, Day Intelligence, Doctor Mode, health reports, CSV export, backup/restore, and demo data when there is enough data.
