Allergies and reactions

From the app’s English Help & Guide · Reference release 1.0.27

Allergy profile

Your allergy profile is a list of known allergies, drug sensitivities, and intolerances. Go to More › Tracking › Allergies & Sensitivities to add entries. Each one has a type (drug, food, material, environmental) and severity (mild, moderate, severe).

This data appears in Doctor Mode, health report PDFs, and can auto-populate your Emergency Info Card.

Medication sensitivity

In the medication editor, you can classify any medication as an allergy, sensitivity, or intolerance. An orange badge appears next to the medication name in your journal, pending doses, and manage medications list — a visual safety signal wherever that medication appears.

Logging reactions

Enable reactions in More › Tracking (or during onboarding). When enabled, each journal entry has a Reaction toggle. Turn it on to record:

• Severity: Mild, Moderate, or Severe • Onset: Immediate, Delayed, or Biphasic • Notes: free text for details

Entries with reactions show an orange warning triangle on the timeline and day-by-day views.

Text entry detection

When using “Describe your day,” Tended automatically detects reaction-related phrases like “had a reaction,” “hives,” “anaphylaxis,” or “flushing” and sets the reaction toggle for you.

Body map descriptors

The Allergic category in the body map includes Hives and Flushing descriptors. The existing Skin category also has Rash, Itching, and Swelling — all useful for recording allergic reactions on specific body regions.

In reports and exports

Reaction data appears in:

• Doctor Mode: reaction day count in the summary grid, allergy profile list, and medication sensitivity badges on the medications page • Health Report PDF: allergy table and reaction day count • CSV export: four columns (Had Reaction, Severity, Onset, Notes) • Emergency Info Card: auto-populate allergies from your profile
