What is demo mode?
Demo mode fills the app with realistic sample data so you can explore insights, correlations, patterns, and reports without waiting weeks for your own data to build up. It’s a great way to see everything Tended can do.
What it does
Generates around 3 months of condition-specific entries including symptoms, triggers, foods, medications, energy, sleep, body map data, and more. Demo medications include stable long-term, PRN, and recent/important examples so focused medication insights have realistic data to show. All Tended+ premium features are unlocked so you can experience the full app.
What it doesn’t do
Demo data is not real health data and does not represent any actual person’s experience. The patterns and correlations are generated from realistic distributions, but they should not be used to draw any health conclusions. Demo data will not appear on your Apple Watch or in widgets.
Your real data is safe
Demo mode uses a completely separate data store. Your real journal entries, symptoms, medications, and settings are untouched. When you exit demo mode, everything returns exactly as it was.
iCloud and sync
Demo data never leaves your device. iCloud sync is disabled for the demo data store. Your real iCloud data continues syncing normally in the background — it is completely unaffected by demo mode.
How to exit
Tap “Exit” on the banner at the top of the screen, or tap “Exit Demo” on the Tended+ card in More. Your demo data will be removed and you’ll return to your real data (or to the onboarding flow if you haven’t set up the app yet).
